Dr. Syntax [collection] : a vaudeville in two acts with original music / text by J. Cheever Goodwin ; music by Woolson Morse. 1894.

Arranged in three groups: I. Vocal scores (12). II. Promptbooks (3 in 4 vols.). III. Dialogue parts (1). The vocal score consists of separate numbers, predominantly manuscript but also including printed sheet music published by T.B. Harms (New York, c1894). Promptbooks are typescript, two copies with handwritten annotations; the third copy in 2 vols. is inscribed "Property of T.B. Harms and Woolson Morse, 18 East 22nd Street, New York City, N. York" and is copyrighted 1894. Dialogue parts are typescript, with manuscript insertions. "Dr. Syntax" is a re-written version of Morse's 1881-82 "Cinderella at school."
